Usain Bolt may have 8 Olympic gold medals under his belt, but now he’s taking his talents to the hyper-competitive world of magical pets–Pokémon. And with an already on-the-nose name like Bolt, it’s only fitter that the track star team up with electric rodent Pikachu for some lightening-fast gameplay. As Kotaku points out, “Bolt” in Japanese is ボルト (boruto), while “volt” is ボルト (boruto)–the similarities’ too punny not to exploit.
Bolt breaks out some Japanese skills in this spot for Pokémon Sun and Moon, promoting Team Skull alongside Pika and two anonymous blue-haired dudes. He’s not afraid to throw some trash talk your way: “I’m #1,” and “Don’t think you can run away,” he says, before ordering Pikachu to lightening up for a group victory pose. Check it out:
