Seo Min-woo, Korean actor, singer and leader of K-pop band 100%,  passed away on Monday at only 33 years old. The entertainer reportedly died of cardiac arrest in his apartment in the Gagnam neighborhood of Seoul.

Minwoo was the eldest member of the 7-person group 100, which debuted in 2012 under T.O.P Media, the agency founded by Andy Lee of the first-wave k-pop sensation SHINWA.

T.O.P. Media  released this statement concerning Minwoo’s death:

We are sorry to inform you of a sudden heartbreaking news.

On March 25, our artist 100% member Seo Minwoo has left us. The deceased had been found in a state of cardiac arrest at his home in Gangnam (Seoul), so the 911 emergency team had arrived but he was declared dead. We are in grief as this unfortunate news is reaching the deceased member’s family, fellow 100% members, T.O.P media colleagues, employees, and celebrities. Minwoo has guided the members well as the team’s eldest, and he was a friend who sincerely loved his members and fans.

Our sorrow is greater because everyone who had known Minwoo is aware of his kindness and dedication. His funeral will take procession quietly as desired by his family.

Before joining 100%, Minwoo had already made a name for himself as an actor, starring in TV dramas like SHARP 3 and THE KING AND I. 100%’s most recent single, “A Song For You,” was released in Japan in February.

Fans around the world are mourning the star with heartfelt condolences and tributes to the entertainer.

K-pop group UP10TION, 100% labelmates under T.O.P, have announced that they’ve cleared their own promotional schedule for the week.

RIP, Minwoo. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and fans.
