Jun has been laying low since winning the President’s Award at the Korean Pop Culture Awards back in October, staying out of the public eye. Her agency, Culture Depot, reports that Jun and her new arrival are both in tip-top shape. How can they not be, whilst recovering at a $50,000 per month confinement center?
No expense is spared for the comfort and privacy of famous moms and babies. For that price, I hope they’re sleeping on the down feathers of cherub wings.
Could the new baby one day follow in his mom’s thespian footsteps? Or will be more inclined for life outside the spotlight, like his dad? Though Jun’s been a household name since her breakout role in MY SASSY GIRL in 2001 (available to watch here on Asian Crush!), husband Choi doesn’t have the same celebrity status–he’s a banker, and actually a childhood friend of Jun’s. The rest of Choi’s family does enjoy some fame, however; his grandfather is hanbok designer Lee Young-hee and his brother is K-pop star Choi Joon-ho of X-Large.
The couple married back in 2012, after a spontaneous trip to Japan became the setting of a less-spontaenous marriage proposal. Good luck to the new parents!
