Utada Hikaru’s newest album after 8 and a half years is set for release tomorrow, on September 28, and we couldn’t be any more excited.
I’m sure fans have already been enjoying Utada’s latest single, “Michi,” which premiered on September 13 at radio stations and September 16 digitally, and will also be included in the upcoming album, Fantôme. Even the Suntory brand can’t get enough–Utada has been recruited as an endorser for the Tennensui brand of bottled water. In a beautifully set commercial, the singer revels in the incredibly scenic natural beauty of Japan as the upbeat beats of her single pulses in the background.
Utada described the hiking for the commercials as probably the hardest filming session she’s been a part of. “I think I did pretty good for a 30-something musician who’s really an indoors type.” Check it out below!
