BTS’ Jimin And JK Did THE BEST Cover Of “We Don’t Talk Anymore” [Audio]

This week, Jimin and Jungkook, two members of the widely popular K-Pop band BTS, just dropped an absolutely breathtaking cover of Selena Gomez and Charlie Puth’s 2016 earworm “We Don’t Talk Anymore.”

Jungkook initially covered the song on his own in January, but his dreamy duet Jimin elevates things to a new level of harmonious and achingly tormented singing. More is certainly the merrier when it comes to BTS boys! And Jimin and JK certainly deliver hitting all those high notes with breathy, soulful perfection.

In just six days, a video of the track (unfortunately not a music video), posted to YouTube has gained almost 5 million views and over 600,000 likes.  Some are already claiming the cover is better than the original.

And I predict that fans who enjoy shipping the two bandmates together will undoubtedly be concocting all sorts of fanfiction in the wake of this cover.

Charlie Puth evidently has noticed BTS’ adoration of his work and has responded with lovely support. In February of 2017, he tweeted that he loved Jungkook’s solo cover of “We Don’t Talk Anymore.”

In March of 2017, he tweeted that he “really” likes the music of the whole band.

The love fest continued with BTS tweeting that they really like Charlie Puth’s music, though at that point affections on both sides were pretty obvious.

It’s so nice to see these two musical phenomenon express nothing but support for each other overseas, and it’s certainly not a common sight in the cutthroat trenches of the popular music industry.

Charlie hasn’t yet gotten around to tweeting about Jimin and Jungkook’s newest take on his song–he’s been busy promoting his new single “Attention,” but I have no doubts they have his endorsement and blessing.

Predictably, fans are going cray cray for the cover.

The only thing that could make this better is a steamy music video of Jimin and Jungkook’s cover!
