Cha Tae-hyun (차태현), a South Korean singer and actor, began his career in a 1995 KBS television drama. Cha was no stranger to the entertainment business. His father was an assistant director for special effects at KBS, and his mother, Choi Su-min,was a voice-over artist. In 1997, Cha Tae-hyun starred in his first movie, "Hallelujah". He also began singing in 2001.
Cha is most known for his lead role in "My Sassy Girl" (2001), a romantic comedy about an unexpected relationship between a man and a drunk girl he meets on the train. Since 2012, Cha has been in the show "2 Days & 1 Night", and is one of the founders of a talent management agency called Blossom Entertainment. In addition to acting, he also directs a drama series called "Hit the Top" that will premiere on June 2, 2017, and is the commercial model for Mario Kart DS in South Korea.
Cha Tae-hyun is married to his high school sweetheart, Choi Suk-eun. Together they have three children.
