At 23-years-old, Enako has made a name for herself as one of Japan’s most successful cosplayers, though she has also worked as a pop idol, voice actress, and promoter of anime, manga, video games, and movies.

A hugely sought after celebrity in the otaku world, it’s estimated that she earns as much as $91,000 per convention appearance from her appearance fee plus fan photographs and autograph signings! She’s taken what many in America see as a hobby and turned it into a full-fledged career. It’s not an exaggeration to say that she has legions of adoring fans who would KILL to get close to her.

Hailing from Nagoya, Enako first discovered cosplay in 2007 when a friend introduced her to the anime  The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Rozen Maiden.

Enako even knows how to slay when it comes to western cosplay, as she did while promoting DC movie Suicide Squad in this stunning Harley Quinn costume.

Besides intense devotion to the meticulous accuracy of each of her cosplays, Enako also makes sure that she truly embodies and inhabits each character with involved and emotional acting impressions. It probably also helps that she looks completely stunning in just about any character getup.

Enako’s visit to the world cosplay summit this past week proved particularly momentous. She had only mentioned her visit on Twitter a couple of days before the actual event, but fans hyped themselves up immensely in that short period of time.

Her pretty, pink cosplay as virtual school girl and social media star Kizuna Ai had everyone trying to get the perfect posed photo.

Busy as ever, Enako is also currently showing off her beauty and skills at the Summer Comiket convention from August 11th-August 13th, and mama’s sure to be walking away with even more money and fans. Do you think she’ll ever teach classes on monetizing one’s cuteness?
