Ah, Halloween–a time for dressing up, candy, and…tears of terror. To be honest, if you don’t make someone cry, or at least look aghast, you’re not doing the holiday any justice. Those were the thoughts of little Taiwanese kindergartner, Momo Lu anyway, who dressed up as No-Face from the Academy Award-winning 2001 film Spirited Away.
Capturing the attention of people around the globe on social media, this little girl’s tribute to Hayao Miyzaki’s film was so good, it brought two of her classmates to tears! Two! Great start, kid. Don’t believe me? Take a look:
Now, we can understand why her classmates were so scared; her costume was so realistic, maybe they thought her lonely spirit would be corrupted by the negative traits of those it consumes too.
I mean seriously, she may as well have starred in the movie herself:
She’s clearly creative beyond her years – with her popularity soaring between adults in Kaohsiung.
But she’s way too cool for (pre) school and she knows it. Here’s her mom’s response to the Halloween costume popularity: “She managed to scare her classmates and one cried,” she said. “Her wish came true, so she’s very happy.”
A happy outcome indeed. In fact, her costume was SO popular, she’s been made into a meme already!
It’s a Halloween miracle. She 100% wins this costume party.
