Fan favorite from this summer’s hit South Korean thriller, Ma Dong-seok, might just be making his way to Hollywood. His standout performance as a gruff, but loving and heroic husband in the midst of a zombie apocalypse gained the actor attention from tearful audiences around the world.
According to Allkpop(1), Ma’s performance and gaining popularity have also reached Hollywood. On September 27, the actor’s label, Day Dream Entertainment confirmed the news of his invitation to a meeting by a major Hollywood studio.
“A major Hollywood studio has shown interest in Ma Dong Seok and requested a meeting. His Hollywood debut has been in the preparations stages for a long time, but nothing is confirmed regarding when he’ll be visiting the U.S. We will consider this great opportunity carefully.”
Though nothing is confirmed, it is still exciting news for the 45-year-old actor, who debuted in 2005. Other than his TRAIN TO BUSAN role, he is best known for his supporting roles in THE NEIGHBOR, NAMELESS GANGSTER: RULES OF THE TIME, and THE UNJUST.
